Today is November 1, 2009, the current temperature is 25 degrees a great day to gather firewood ….and what is nice is dinner is in the freezer! Yep, I’m going to make homemade beef stew, with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, homemade beef broth, garlic salt, pepper, one bay leaf and beef.

On days like this, the last thing I want to do is go to the grocery store.  It’s so nice to have a freezer full of beef. For those of you who order beef from us you know what I’m talking about.

Last week we had three inches of snow.. so while Mark is out providing good hay and water for the animals…which keeps them warm… It’s nice to have food in the house ready to make a warm cooked meal for Mark.
